2011 thus far
Good Evening All!
We are finally almost settled into our house after a month of unpacking/rearranging. We ordered new bedroom furniture about a month ago and it was delivered on Monday morning. It looks awesome! I told Chris I am excited to have adult furniture in our bedroom now. We still are waiting on our sleep number mattress to arrive so in the mean time we are staying in our guest room. Hopefully it comes by the end of the week.
I am loving my new job! I think it will give me an opportunity to leave my mark on the department as I have been given some creative freedom to revamp a couple of the processes. I am so much more relaxed and enjoy no longer traveling every week.
Now that I am home more, I have gotten back on the WW wagon. I lost 2.2 lbs in the first two weeks and weigh in again on Thursday evening. I was hoping to lose a little more than that in the first couple of weeks but a loss is a loss so I am still happy about that. My new goal is to lose 28 lbs by the wedding. Considering I gained back 20 of the 24 I lost last summer, I think I should be ok at getting rid of it again. I have starting working out this time around as I really did none of that the first time. I can use the gym at work for free so I have no excuse this time around. Wish me luck – my will power is pretty crappy so that will be the hardest part. I know I need to do this to feel healthier but sometimes pizza just sounds too good :)
To really mess with my diet, I started taking a cake decorating class this past Saturday. The into class is only 2 weeks, but I had so much fun last week that I might take the intermediate class when this one is done. I have always wanted to be able to learn how to decorate cakes and the offered this course through community ed so I decided to give it a try. There are 11 “students” in my class that range from teenagers to elderly women and we all had a lot of fun last week. I have to make a cake and 2 batches of butter cream icing this week to take to class on Saturday. We will be decorating the cake with a flower arrangement. I am excited to learn how to make roses! I will have to take a picture of the cake when I am done to remind myself of my first of many more and will try to post it on the blog when I am done.
Should be a quiet rest of the week. Please keep my Grandma D in your prayers. She has been in the hospital 3 times this past month and is still there recovering from having her gall bladder removed earlier in the week. She is struggling with her emotions with everything that has been going on, so pray that she has the strength to give her worries to God and know that he will take care of her no matter the outcome.
Until next time!
